Ms. Durkin is Founder and Principal of Sparkplug, LLC, Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, and and Principal Associate for The MacroDyn Group.

Andrea Durkin is the principal of Sparkplug, LLC, a firm that advises corporate affairs and think tank executives on their organizational strategies. Andrea has 25 years of global business and government trade negotiation insights spanning five continents and is an experienced corporate and government trainer, particularly in strategy development and negotiations. She is also a nonresident fellow and advisor to three policy think tanks and foundations on trade policy, economic growth policies, and workforce development including the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the George W. Bush Institute.

 Andrea previously served as a U.S. Government trade negotiator for ten years with both the Office of the United States Trade Representative and the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has taught international trade and investment policy at Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Foreign Service program for the last fourteen years and continues to teach “pop-up” courses at other universities.
