Sang-Hee Han, PhD

Dr. Han is Managing Director at The MacroDyn Group.

Sang-Hee is an experienced quantitative analyst with over 25 years’ experience working in academia, government, and the private sector.

Dr. Han applies expert analytical and economic modelling skills to a wide range of analyses including policy evaluation, economic impact analysis, and forecasts. He has expertise in providing client-specific quantitative analytical solutions using industry leading econometric and simulation techniques.

Dr. Han has extensive experience in a wide range of large-scale economic modelling and complex data analysis. He has developed multi-industry, multi-regional Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models – for five countries and territories, including Australia, USA, Singapore, Puerto Rico, and United Arab Emirates, which have been used to assess potential policy options including industry development programs, industry forecasting, fiscal sustainability, international trade, and infrastructure investment.

Dr. Han is also an expert in macro, micro, and industry forecasting at a national or regional level, covering energy price and demand forecasts, industry labor demand forecasts, exchange rates forecasts, and productivity analysis. Dr. Han has also developed medium-scale traditional macroeconomic forecasting models for Australia, Puerto Rico, and Northern Territory.

Most recently, Dr. Han worked on the development of future workforce modelling analysis accounting for technology innovation and automation. He also developed a firm-level finance impact modelling framework in the context of a border adjustment tax as part of U.S. tax reform options.
